Rice

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cup cups water

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil

1 cup uncooked long grain rice

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a 1-quart sauce pan; heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and cover. Cook 30 minutes or until all water is absorbed.

Remove from heat and let stand for 5 - 10 minutes before serving



Serves: 4 - 6

Needed for Gumbo, Etouffee & Fricassee
